Will Cristiano Ronaldo Continue to Dominate the Saudi Pro League in 24/25?
In January 2023, global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo surprised football fans by swapping Europe for the Middle East. CR7 signed for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League on a contract believed to be worth around £173million per year, making him the highest paid sportsperson in the world. Although he was chastised by some football supporters for chasing the money, the 39-year-old remains in Riyadh and has been featuring regularly for his team.
BEO’s betting odds are starting to show a likelihood towards Cristiano Ronaldo claiming under 7.5 assists during the 2024-2025 season ::: Discover the latest Cristiano Ronaldo Bet Entertainment Odds predictions here.Â
Ronaldo’s Time at Al Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo got off to a flying start in the Middle East, scoring 14 times in his first 16 appearances at the back end of the 2023-24 season. Although he failed to score on debut against Ettifaq, he notched his goal in just his third league appearance, scoring a late penalty at Al Fateh.
Across three and a half seasons, the Portuguese has notched 92 times in 103 matches including back-to-back hat-tricks in 2024. He set a new record for the Saudi Pro League in 2023-24, netting 35 goals in a single season, surpassing the previous total of 34.
He has also helped his side pick up a couple of trophies including the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. He’s scored 12 times in 14 appearances in the AFC Champions League for Al Nassr. He’s currently averaging a goal every 91 minutes and a goal contribution every 72.

Although the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has opened up about the difficulties of relocating his family and settling into an unfamiliar region, he is keen to carry on and ‘leave a legacy’. He is playing alongside other European competitors and is teammates with former Liverpool striker Sadio Mane and a recent acquisition from Aston Villa, Jhon Duran.
He is edged closer to 1,000 career goals, however, as he moves towards the magical 40 mark, it remains to be seen whether he can add a further 90 goals to his current tally in order to get him over the line.

2024-25 Season
At the time of writing, Ronaldo has netted 19 times in 24 matches across the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League campaign, 12 more than any of his team-mates. He hasn’t managed to net a single hat-trick so far this campaign, although with nine games of the regular season left, there is still time to put this right.
Ronaldo’s job is to finish his opportunities with Sadio Mane having turned provider on many occasions. He’s managed just three assists so far this year, although this could be linked to how the team is set up by current boss Stefano Pioli, who is clearly keen to play to Ronaldo’s strengths.
Although most of his time has been spent as a central striker, he has also been occasionally deployed on the left wing.
Seven of his goals across all competitions have come from the penalty spot this season and he has failed to miss a single spotkick since arriving in Riyadh.
Is Ronaldo Likely to Feature Regularly for the Rest of the Season?
CR7 has been playing and scoring regularly throughout February and March for Al Nassr. He has scored in consecutive weekends at the beginning of March and has netted nine times in 2025 so far. He is unlikely to drop out of Pioli’s plans anytime soon and has shown very few signs of slowing down. He is an integral part of the XI and should be able to add to his impressive goals tally.
The Future
Ronaldo’s current contract comes to an end this summer. He may opt to take a sidestep and join fellow Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal, where he would inevitably add to his impressive trophy haul. He may also opt to join Lionel Messi in Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy amongst the potential destinations. He may also wish to follow in the footsteps of Neymar and return to his homeland. Sporting CP may be a sensible landing spot for the Portuguese international.
If you believe Cristiano Ronaldo will claim fewer than 1.5 hat-tricks this season (2024-25), you could win $169 by betting $100 if it happens.
