Who Will Secure the Next Residency at Las Vegas Sphere?
The Sphere at the Venetian Resort, which is often nicknamed Sphere, opened in September 2023 and was kickstarted by U2’s 40-show residency.
The music and entertainment arena’s state-of-the-art technology and facilities have helped the venue attract some exceptional talent to the stage, as it includes a 16k resolution wraparound interior LED screen.
The Sphere has already played host to many residencies from Phish, Dead & Company, and Eagles. Also, it will soon host residencies with Kenny Chesney and the Backstreet Boys later this year.
As the latter’s Into the Millenium residency will come to an end on August 17, 2025, many are speculating about who might perform at the innovative venue later this year.

Metallica
Metallica is the frontrunner to lock in the next residency at the Sphere. The band has already confirmed it will headline the Sick New World music festival in Las Vegas this April, and a residency at the forward-thinking arena might be a natural next step.
If you love Metallica, you’ll know the group isn’t afraid to put on an impressive show for their fans.
For instance, they once set a record for the largest concert ever, as the band performed to an incredible 1.6 million people in Moscow in 1991.
As the high-tech venue is the largest spherical building on the planet, capable of accommodating 38,600 people per show, it would be a perfect place for the iconic rock group to perform in Sin City.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles was reportedly set to perform at the Sphere when it opened in 2023, but his appearance didn’t come to fruition.
It is believed he received a formal invitation to take to the stage at the multi-billion-dollar arena, and it is unknown when or if he will do so in the future.
If media reports are to be believed, Harry was offered an incredible $50 million for a 10-day residency at the Sphere, which would have been spread out over many months.
With the Backstreet Boys’ run coming to an end in August, they’ll need another big name to draw a crowd this year, and Harry Styles undoubtedly has the star power to do so.
Also, James Dolan, MSG Entertainment’s CEO, hinted to Fox News that they’d love to secure Harry Styles at the Sphere.
When asked about Harry Styles saying he wants to make the arena “his house,” Dolan said with a smile, “We love Harry and whenever he wants to come, we’re ready.”
Tool
If you love Tool, you might believe the Sphere is a natural arena for the much-loved rock band.
As the group is known for its innovative productions, the state-of-the-art music and entertainment area could help elevate their shows further.
It will enable Tool to provide their diehard fans with a more immersive experience, which would likely result in tickets selling out at a fast rate.
Oasis
Oasis is scheduled to embark on the North American leg of their tour from August to September 2025.
As the Backstreet Boys’ residency will conclude in August, an Oasis residency could be the perfect place to add to their tour dates and play to a large audience in Las Vegas.
Due to popular demand, Oasis has already added extra tour dates, and they might jump at the chance to play at the Sphere.
