Joint Interview Refusals
The Gallagher brothers are refusing to participate in joint interviews in the run-up to the Oasis Live ’25 Tour.
According to Liam Gallagher, the band has made the decision to provide separate interviews, as they are “scared of the media asking us intrusive questions.”
Oasis believes the media played a part in the tensions that arose before they split, and they don’t want journalists “to pick holes in our relationship.”
The brothers haven’t provided a joint interview since they confirmed the band is back together in August 2024.
It might be due to wanting to avoid triggering questions from the press, but it might be the Gallaghers’ way of spending less time together in the run-up to the shows.
“Too Old” to Fight on Tour
It might be a relief to learn that Noel and Liam Gallagher believe they are unlikely to fight on tour, and it is likely due to them growing older and maturing.
Noel Gallagher stated he suspects their upcoming tour won’t be as crazy as ones from their past.
He said, “It won’t be as raucous as back in the day, because we are on the wrong side of 50 now, so we’re too old. We don’t give a sh*t now, so there won’t be any fallouts. There won’t be any fighting. It is a lap of honour for the band.”
During the interview, a journalist asked if he was happy he had overcome relationship issues with Liam and that they had reconciled, causing Noel to reply, “Of course, yes.”
Liam’s Tour Promise
Liam recently stated on X that he plans to be on his best behavior during the Oasis Live ’25 tour, which might encourage Noel to write more songs for the band.
When an X user asked if Oasis would carry on or if he would pursue a solo career after the tour, Liam replied, “Nope. I’m gonna be on my best behavior on this tour, and hopefully Noel will see my potential, and he’ll write some RnR and I’ll sing them, and that’ll be that. If not, I’m on holiday for 30 years.”
An Upbeat Interview with Noel Gallagher
While many fans speculate if the Gallagher brothers are genuinely on good terms, Noel Gallagher recently talked about Liam with great warmth.
During an interview with John Robb, Noel’s face appeared to light up when discussing Liam, appearing as a proud older brother.
However, it only takes many days on the road to open old wounds and trigger an argument on tour. Yet, both brothers seem happy to have reconciled and are committed to enjoying a relaxed, amicable reunion in 2025.
