Who Will Win Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards 2024?

Who Will Win Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards 2024?

The Country Music Association (CMA) Awards has honored the finest acts in country music since 1967.

Now in its 57th year, the CMAs will return on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to highlight the finest artists in the genre over the past 12 months.

The highest honor in the ceremony is, without a doubt, Entertainer of the Year, and it is the final award of the night.

It will be presented to the artist with “the greatest competence in all aspects of the entertainment field,” which includes their in-person and recorded performances, leadership, popularity with the public, and contribution to the genre.

The proud recipient’s name will then stand alongside other past winners, such as Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Tim McGraw, the Dixie Chicks, Taylor Swift, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton.

Who are the 2024 Nominees for Entertainer of the Year?

Five fantastic country music acts have received a nomination for Entertainer of the Year at this year’s Country Music Association Awards.

The nominees are:

  • Jelly Roll
  • Morgan Wallen
  • Lainey Wilson
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Luke Combs

Who is Most Likely to Win Entertainer of the Year 2024?

Lainey Wilson is the current favorite to win Entertainer of the Year at this year’s CMAs. The 32-year-old singer-songwriter will defend her title, as she won the prestigious award in 2023.

If she snags Entertainer of the Year this November, she will become the third woman in the award show’s history to win the award twice. Also, she’ll be the second female artist to win the award over two consecutive years.

After she won the award in 2023, she stepped into an elite club in country music, as she became one of eight women to have received the title since 1967.

Last year’s win has seemingly inspired Wilson to work harder than ever, as she recently commented, “I’ve worked my butt off this year to prove to the folks that thought I didn’t deserve Entertainer of the Year, to show them why people in this town chose me.”

However, she faces tough competition from other nominees in the category, who will be eager to land the sought-after title of Entertainer of the Year.

If the award doesn’t go to Wilson, Morgan Wallen is the second favorite to scoop it. It marks three consecutive years of Wallen receiving a nomination for Entertainer of the Year; however, he’s yet to receive the honor, causing many to hope that 2024 is his year.

He definitely wins the popular vote at the ceremony, as he has the most CMA nominations this year with seven.

Luke Combs remains a strong contender for the award, which he is no stranger to, as he was named Entertainer of the Year in 2021 and 2022.

Chris Stapleton continues to be one of the most respected musicians in country music, but he’s yet to win the Entertainer of the Year award. Despite receiving an award of the same name at the ACM Awards in 2023, the 46-year-old isn’t the favorite to receive the title at the CMAs this November.

The same goes for Jelly Roll. Despite a fantastic year in country music, he faces tough competition in the category, with many believing he’s unlikely to lift the award in 2024.

However, he’s likely to be unphased by the outcome, as he recently stated he isn’t interested in the award, as his sights are set on winning Musical Event of the Year instead.

If you believe Jelly Roll will win Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards 2024, you could win $600 by betting $100 at 1xBet if it happens.
