What Could Stop Oasis from Reuniting in 2025?
This year, Liam and Noel Gallagher made the impossible possible by announcing they were reforming for a world tour in 2025.
As the brothers have had one of the nastiest feuds in music, many fans believed the members would never appear on the same stage again.
While the Gallaghers appear to have set their differences aside, it is natural to worry that another argument or rock ‘n’ roll behavior might stop the group from starting or completing their Live ’25 Tour next year.
So, what could stop Oasis from reuniting in 2025? Keep reading for possible scenarios.

A Heated Argument
The Gallagher brothers are well-known for their heated arguments. For instance, they traded many insults during an interview with NME in 1994 that was so fiery that it was turned into a 14-minute single named “Wibbling Rivalry.”
An argument could happen between the pair, as sources close to the brothers have stated they aren’t on the best terms but have agreed to reform for the $50m payday. All it takes is one small comment to anger Liam or Noel, and all hell could break loose on stage or in the studio.
However, the Gallaghers are reducing the chances of arguments, as they have stated they won’t provide joint interviews to stop reporters from asking intrusive questions that could trigger conflict between them.
A Physical Fight
The Gallagher brothers are no stranger to physical altercations. For instance, Liam famously hit Noel over the head with a tambourine during an LA performance in 1994, which forced Noel to quit the band for a few days.
Also, in 1995, Noel was angered when Liam allowed a group of drunk friends to enter the studio while recording (What’s the Story) Morning Glory. After asking the people to leave, Liam attacked Noel and his guitars, prompting Noel to retaliate by striking him with a cricket bat.
If a heated argument does arise, there’s every likelihood that an act of violence could follow, which could spell the end for the band.
On-Stage Conflict
As you can see from the above, Oasis is familiar with on-stage conflict. For instance, when performing at the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Italy in June 2005, Liam stormed off stage in the middle of their hit song “Champagne Supernova.”
It reportedly happened following an argument between the brothers, proving you never know what might happen when you attend an Oasis concert.
An Arrest
Liam and Noel Gallagher embraced every aspect of their rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle during the 1990s, as both reportedly took drugs.
During a 2017 with GQ Australia, Liam Gallagher said, “I had my drugs when I was 14. Chewing my face off in Manchester on magic mushrooms and all that.”
However, he has since stated drugs are no longer part of his life, commenting, “No goodies anymore. Not proper stuff. The voice doesn’t handle that anymore. I’m 44 now, so it’s like get a good night’s kip and get out for a run in the morning. Get to the gig. Do the gig. Give people what they want.
Noel Gallagher has admitted he regularly took cocaine during the 1990s and can remember the moment he chose to quit.
When appearing on the Pub Talk podcast, he said, “It was during the World Cup, France ’98. France was playing Germany. It was half-time, and we’d had a huge party the night before, and I’d kinda stumbled out of bed in the afternoon.
“The first thing I did was went to the fridge and got a can of Red Stripe – I was smoking at the time – and lit a cig. My whole world just fell in. I just had a freakout and couldn’t breathe, all that kind of thing. From that day forward, I quit.”
While a drug possession arrest could potentially stop the tour from happening, it appears the Gallagher brothers have quit drugs for good and are unlikely to relapse, as they’ve continued to perform on stage as solo artists since the breakup without returning to their old habits.
