Who Could Score a Perfect 40 on Strictly Come Dancing 2024?
Every celebrity on Strictly Come Dancing seeks a perfect 40 on the show. It’s not only a sign of much talent on the dancefloor but proves their hard work and efforts are paying off.
During its 20-year run, only 70 dancers, such as Jill Halfpenny, Harry Judd, Kimberley Walsh, Denise Van Outen, and Kelvin Fletcher, have been fortunate enough to receive four 10 paddles.
The expert judges are looking for perfection, and they’ll mark contestants down for the smallest mistakes, meaning a routine must be flawless.
As many of the 2024 contestants have wowed the judges and audience from the first episode, it wouldn’t be surprising if more than one couple receives a perfect 40 this year, but who will be the first act to do so?
Continue reading to learn about the contestants who are most likely to score a perfect 40 on Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

Tasha Ghouri
Tasha Ghouri is no stranger to high scores, as she has topped the leaderboard twice, and it wouldn’t be surprising if she earns a perfect 40 at some stage in the dance competition.
Shirley Ballas has praised the star’s fantastic footwork. Following Ghouri’s Barbie routine with dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec, the veteran judge claimed the British model performs routines better than some of the professional dancers she judged at the most recent world championships.
According to professional dancer Janette Manrara, who is Aljaž’s wife, Tasha needs to let go of perfection to achieve perfection on the dancefloor.
She recently commented, “She needs to really loosen herself up and let go. I think her journey is going to be letting go of perfection… Everybody comes out the other side feeling like they’ve learned something new about themselves. So, it’d be really interesting to see how her and Aljaž get on with the series, and how far they do go, but we’ll have to wait and find out.”
Sarah Hadland
Sarah Hadland is the dark horse on Strictly Come Dancing. While the media believes it is a two-horse race between Tasha Ghouri and comedian Chris McCausland to win the Glitterball Trophy, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the talented actress earn higher scores as her confidence grows.
The talented star impressed the judges when she and dance partner Vito Coppola performed a Viennese Walz to “Hedwig’s Theme” by John Williams. It was an emotional tribute to Dame Maggie Smith, who recently passed away at 89 years old.
The score not only moved audiences to tears, but it earned Hadland a superb score of 33. Also, Motsi Mabuse hailed their routine as “the highlight of the night.”
As Hadland has proved she’s capable of performing routines well and has the acting skills to pull at heartstrings, it wouldn’t be a shock if she scooped the first perfect 40.
Shayne Ward
Shayne Ward is no stranger to wowing judges because he won X-Factor in 2005. While he has since made a transition to acting, he has proven he still has the moves to entertain a live studio audience.
For instance, his tango performance on week two with dance partner Nancy Xu earned high scores and fantastic comments from the judges.
However, Ward was reportedly struggling with online abuse behind the scenes, with many fans claiming he is “unlikable,” “cocky,” and “over-confident.”
If Shane can learn to ignore the online hate and focus 100% of his attention on his routine, he could earn the sought-after perfect 40 in the competition.
