Who are the Nominees for Song of the Year 2024?
Six incredible artists, three female and three male, are up for Song of the Year at this year’s award ceremony.

Who is Likely to Win the VMA for Song of the Year 2024?
It wouldn’t be surprising if one of the three female nominees walked away with the Moon Man for Song of the Year, as each has released superb songs and has had an exceptional year.
Sabrina Carpenter’s star has been rising over the past twelve months, and her hit song “Espresso” has generated an incredible 10.91 million YouTube views, which other nominees struggle to rival.
For comparison, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” earned 4.72 million views on the platform, Swift’s “Fortnight” has 2.59 million, and Beyonce’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” received only 774,105.
Also, “Espresso” has proved popular on Spotify, as it has secured 58.56 million weekly streams since its release and has a high playlist rating, while Jack Harlow’s track received the lowest amount with only 8.29 million weekly streams.
It would be foolish to rule Taylor Swift out of winning Song of the Year. The track “Fortnight” has secured a score of 90 on Spotify, which indicates good listener engagement. Also, it broke the platform’s record for the highest single-day streams.
After winning an impressive nine awards at the VMAs in 2023, the award ceremony might be eager to shake things up. However, voters might not hesitate to select Swift’s track that features Post Malone for the award, especially since she has had a phenomenal year with her Eras tour.
Despite not generating the same number of YouTube Views and streams as Swift or Carpenter, Beyonce has always proved a hit with MTV voters. She holds the record for the most VMAs as a solo artist with 25 – or 29 if you include her time with Destiny’s Child.
