Which will be the First Song Played by Oasis on their Reunion Tour?

There was a mad scramble for tickets throughout August with legendary Brit-Pop act Oasis having announced the dates for their reunion tour in 2025. The outspoken Gallagher brothers will be playing at numerous venues throughout the UK and Ireland including Manchester’s Heaton Park, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and Croke Park in Dublin. What are Oasis’ Biggest Hits?

The Mancunian outfit have enjoyed numerous number one singles including Don’t Look Back in Anger, D’You Know What I Mean and Go Let it Out. Many more tracks such as Wonderwall, Stand By Me and Roll with It have also charted in the top three.

Why is the Set Opener so Important?

When it comes to a carefully curated setlist, bands are always keen to start on the front foot. The first song tends to set the tone for the remainder of the performance and tends to whip the crowd into a frenzy of excitement.

A rousing sing-along anthem is likely to be chosen by Oasis. Ballads and songs with a slower tempo tend to be reserved for midway through the set before the energy is restored during the encore.

Which Songs have Oasis Used to Open Their Previous Gigs?

It’s been over a decade since the band performed together on stage. Their 2009 V Festival performance was one of their last live shows and they opted to open the set with the anthemic Rock n Roll Star. This was followed by Lyla and Shock of the Lightning.

They kept this intact throughout their 2008-09 tour with the setlist barely changing throughout.

During their 2006 gigs in Houston, Nashville and Cincinatti, they started the gigs with Turn up the Sun followed by Lyla. Bring it on Down is another set opener which was used in the early 2000s.
