Will Billy Ray Cyrus’s Divorce Inspire a New Hit Single?
Cyrus’s recent divorce from Firerose could serve as inspiration for one of many tracks he could record in the studio this year.
The couple, who originally met on the set of Hannah Montana in 2010, developed a friendship that turned to romance after his divorce from Tish Cyrus in 2022.
However, in June 2024, Billy Ray filed for an annulment of his marriage to the Australian singer, but he listed the date of their separation as May 22, 2024, which was seven months after they said: “I do.”
The US country singer cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct, and their relationship appears anything but amicable.
Cyrus has accused Firerose of lying about her identity, and she received $0 when the divorce was finalized. However, she will receive royalties and credits for the 17 songs they wrote together.
Billy Ray Cyrus recently said to E! News, “This has been absolutely the most crazy, insane scam I’ve ever heard of. Let alone the fact I’m right in the center and basically the target of the scheme. It’s unfortunate it played out this way.”

Cyrus has denied the allegations made against him and accused his ex of verbal abuse, cheating, and preventing contact with one of his daughters, which Firerose denies.
