Despite making waves at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Armand Duplantis and Desire Inglander have been dating since meeting at a party in Stockholm in 2020 during Midsummer, a Swedish holiday.
According to the athlete, the beautiful influencer showed no interest in him at first. During a recent interview with Vogue Scandanavia, Mondo spoke about the first time he met Desire, commenting, “Where I’m from, there is a lot more talking. You talk for a long time. So, at the party, I was trying to talk to Desire, like, ‘Hey, what’s up? I’m Mondo.’ But she didn’t want anything to do with me. She just wanted to dance.”
Undeterred, Armand continued to pursue Desire by reaching out to her on social media, and his efforts paid off, with the couple making their relationship debut on Instagram in 2021.
Since they started dating, the 23-year-old beauty has been by Duplantis’s side during his track and field events.
