Who is Likely to Appear on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2025?
The headline acts for Glastonbury 2025 have yet to be announced. However, Emily Eavis, the festival’s boss, has stated she’s in talks with various artists to secure a superb lineup.
Despite no official announcement, rumors are swirling about who will take to the iconic Pyramid stage in 2025.
There is much talk that Oasis will finally reunite on the stage after the brothers bitterly split in 2009. Both have denied they’ll headline the event, but the rumors don’t seem to be fading away.
Taylor Swift is also tipped to headline the Pyramid Stage in the near future. The singer-songwriter was supposed to top the 2020 billing alongside Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar, but COVID-19 thwarted the plans.
As the festival has drawn criticism recently, Glastonbury bosses are reportedly in talks with Eminem to headline the Pyramid Stage.
An industry source recently told Joe.co.uk, “Glastonbury is barely over, but the bosses want Eminem. They hope he will be their savior after so few people went to watch SZA. They have everything crossed that he will say yes.”
As Eminem has headlined other UK festivals in the past, including Reading and Leeds, he might not rule out an appearance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage.
Why Does Glastonbury Have a Pyramid Stage?
Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage is almost as old as the festival itself. The first version was built by Bill Harik, a theater designer, in 1971, with a crew erecting the structure from scaffolding, plastic sheeting, and expanded metal.
A second version was built in 1981, doubling as a cowshed and animal food store during winter. However, the version known and loved today was erected in 2000, offering a design inspired by the Great Pyramids of Giza.
The festival chose the pyramid as it has a powerful shape, projecting energy upwards while drawing energy downwards from the sun and stars.
When is Glastonbury 2025?
Glastonbury 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 25 to 29, 2025. At present, there is no official release date for the festival’s tickets, but the first round will likely go on sale in October or November 2024. The resale tickets will go on sale in April 2025.
