Travis Kelce is widely considered to be one of the greatest tight ends of all time and away from the football field, he has become a household name as a result of his ongoing relationship with global pop superstar Taylor Swift. Although he has enjoyed a recent foray into podcating, the 34-year old isn’t known for TV presentation. Nevertheless, Amazon Prime have given the Chief’s star a chance to add another string to his bow when he makes his debut in front of the cameras on the spin-off show: Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?
What is Are You Smarter than a Celebrity and where can I watch it?
Are You Smarter than a Celebrity is a spin-0ff to popular US quiz show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader which was first broadcast in February 2007. John Foxworthy was the original host of the show and was the main man throughout the first four seasons. Questions are taken from elementary school textbooks with each correct answer adding money to the prize pot.
Any contestant who is able to successfully clinch the jackpot (ranging from 250K to $1million depending on the season) will face the camera and confidently state ‘I am smarter than a 5th grader’.
The show was revived by Nickelodeon with John Cena selected as the new host of the show. The show also airs internationally with the format having been tweaked for foreign broadcasters.
Are You Smarter than a Celebrity will be presented by Travis Kelce and episodes will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video in the summer of 2024. The new series will consist of 20 episodes.

Which celebrities have already been confirmed for the show?
Although the current crop of ‘classmates’ may be a bit light on sports stars, Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick has been confirmed for an appearance. He will be joined by podcast host Sophia Stallone, daughter of Sylvester and reality star Garcelle Beauvais.
The NFL will be represented by former wide receiver Chad Ochocincoformer who will feature alongside comedian Natasha Leggero, writer Lilly Singh and actor Ron Funches.
Further stars are likely to be announced in due course.

With further names set to be added to the list of stars who are set to be challenged by the contestants, there has been plenty of speculation about whether Travis Kelce will use his connections to attract any high-profile names from the world of sport. His brother Jason Kelce, who spent his entire playing career with the Philadelphia Eagles is Travis’ podcast co-host and appears to be a fairly easy booking.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are both team-mates and good friends off the field and the pair’s relationship could open the door for the Quarterback to feature in some capacity. It remains to be seen whether the current NFL star has enough time in his busy schedule to join his famous friend in front of the camera.
