The small screen has been dominated by many superb TV shows from 2023 to 2024, but some are more likely to earn more nominations than others.
The Bear is a likely contender for the most Emmy Award nominations. Season 3 of the hit FX show, starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, has earned much praise for the caliber of its acting performances, directing, and writing.
The Crown, which had its final season in 2023, is likely to dominate the award categories due to its exceptional performances, directing, cinematography, and casting. However, despite its popularity with audiences, some critics appear to have grown bored of the popular Netflix show, which might be reflected in the Emmy Awards’ categories.
It would be foolish to rule out Baby Reindeer for the most nominations, too. The daring British black comedy-drama-thriller has received international critical acclaim, turning its stars, Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning, into household names overnight. It would be a huge shock if the seven-episode limited series didn’t appear in more than one category when the nominees are unveiled in July.
Also, Shogun, an FX drama series set in 1600 Japan, has been critically acclaimed for its epic production, mesmerizing visuals, captivating performances, and exceptional storytelling. For this reason, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise for the show to be nominated in many categories at the Emmys this year.
When are the Emmy Awards Nominees Announced?
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations will be announced on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph are set to announce the nominees at 8.30 am PT on the official website.
Therefore, you will need to tune in to see if the above shows or others receive the most nominations at this year’s award show.
Final voting will begin on Thursday, August 15, and close on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 10 pm.
The ceremony will take place over two nights from September 7 to 8, 2024, in Los Angeles, California.
