Inside Out 2 is a favorite to generate the most ticket sales, as it has already become the first film of the year to earn $1 billion at the box office worldwide.
It reached the epic feat in as little as 19 days and is the 11th animated movie to ever hit this sum.

Hot on Inside Out 2’s heels is Despicable Me 4, which was released on July 4, 2024, earning $122 million in its opening weekend, making it the highest July 4 opening movie since Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022).
However, it’s not only animated films that are expected to earn a huge profit at the box office this year. The much-anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters in late July and is expected to attract audiences in their droves.
It’s currently on track to debut with a record-shattering $160-165 million at the box office.
The Marvel flick, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, could potentially take the top spot for the highest-grossing movie of the year.
