Will Prince Harry Be Deported in 2024?

Will Prince Harry Be Deported in 2024?

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is the youngest son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales.

In 2020, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, a famous American actress, stepped down as working royals to move to Southern California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

The move provided the family with the fresh start they had been craving, as they launched Archewell Inc., a for-profit and not-for-profit organization, and filmed the hit Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan in 2022.

However, the 2023 release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare could reportedly jeopardize the family’s future in America.

Despite being a notable member of the British royal family and fifth in the line of succession to the throne, Prince Harry is at risk of deportation from the United States.

Why is Prince Harry at Risk of Deportation?

Prince Harry provided readers with an honest account of his past use of illegal drugs in his memoir Spare

The book included many little-known stories from Prince Harry’s life, including his reported use of various substances, such as cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic drugs.

Despite Prince Harry confirming the United States is his primary residence in new paperwork filings for his travel company, Travalyst, the Heritage Foundation has chosen to sue the Department of Homeland Security in a bid to prove the royal lied on his US residency application about his history of drug use.

In March 2024, a US judge ordered the US government to turn over Prince Harry’s visa documents to the court for review. As the US government warns all immigrants that false or misleading claims on government paperwork could lead to deportation, Prince Harry could be denied the right to live in the United States.

Will the Biden Administration Deport Prince Harry?

According to Jane Hartley, the US ambassador to the UK, a deportation action will “not happen in the Biden administration.”

However, a change of government could pose a risk to Prince Harry’s US visa. If former president Trump wins the presidential election in November, he may seek to have the British royal deported.

In a recent interview with GB News, Donald Trump was asked if Prince Harry would receive special privileges if he had lied on his visa application, and he replied, “No. We’ll have to see if they know something about drugs. If he lied, they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

What Would Happen If Prince Harry Were Deported?

An immigration lawyer recently stated to The Daily Beast that if Prince Harry lied on his application, his visa could be cancelled, and he would be denied entry when attempting to return to the US from foreign travel.
