When Will GTA 6 Be Released?
There currently isn’t an official release date for GTA 6, but it has a release window of Fall 2025.Â
There had been rumors of a possible delay, as the release window was removed from the game’s marketing materials. Adding fuel to the fire was a report by Kotaku that hinted the game’s production had fallen behind schedule.
However, Strauss Zelnick (Take-Two Interactive’s CEO) put concerns to rest by confirming that GTA 6 will be released in 2025 and said the company remains confident of the fall 2025 window.
Therefore, it would be reasonable to expect the game to be released at some point from September to November 2025, with October a probable month.Â
However, if the game does run into delays, it might not be available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S until winter or at some point in 2025.
Will GTA 6 Be Released on Other Consoles?
Take-Two Interactive has only announced that GTA 6 will be available to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S once released.
It appears it will not be available to play on Xbox One or PS4 right away, if at all, meaning it’s a current-gen exclusive.Â
Also, a PC launch hasn’t been announced yet, but many suspect it will follow the same schedule as previous GTA games, as they are often released on video game consoles first and later released on PC.
Bear in mind fans shouldn’t expect a quick PC release of the game. A former GTA developer stated PS5 and Xbox games often take priority over PC, as they generate the biggest revenue.
If you are eager to play GTA 6 once it is released, you may have no choice but to treat yourself to an Xbox Series X/S or PS5 if you have yet to do so.
