Rumors Began in 2024
Various fan theories have emerged that Beyonce will join forces on a track with Lady Gaga again soon.
The Houston native released a teaser trailer for her album Act II: Cowboy Carter during the Super Bowl, which hit streaming services on March 29, 2024.
A vintage yellow taxi in the desert was featured in the ad, causing fans to speculate that it was a follow-up to the hit song “Telephone” with Gaga, which featured a “To Be Continued” message at the end of the video.
Also, Lady Gaga and Beyonce appeared at the Super Bowl separately, exciting fans worldwide of a potential collaboration.
The “Born This Way” singer added fuel to the fire on March 25, 2024, as she posted an image of a guitar on Instagram that included a magazine cover featured in the “Telephone” music video.
Later that day, Vance Gamble, Beyonce’s stylist, posted a photo of Lady Gaga wearing the iconic cigarette sunglasses from the “Telephone” video on his Instagram.
However, to the dismay of fans everywhere, a third collaboration from the duo didn’t appear on Act II: Cowboy Carter.
“Telephone: Part II” might not have appeared on the LP, but a reference to Part I did.
On the Dolly P interlude, Dolly Parton says, “Hey, Miss Honey Bee, it’s Dolly P.” If you are a fan of “Telephone”, you will remember Honey Bee is Beyonce’s character name in the video.
Will Lady Gaga and Beyonce Collaborate Again?
Despite not appearing on Beyonce’s latest album, there is a possibility the singers will team up again.
When asked in an interview with ET if she would collaborate with Beyonce again, Lady Gaga replied that she works on “new music all the time” and said, “I can’t wait to give it to the fans.”
